Matt here with your Mountain Report for Tuesday, April 16, 2024. This storm graced us with 7" of new snow overnight, bringing our storm total up to 10". The Tax Day Pow Day lives on! Here's hoping we have a few storms like that left in our system this season, but either way, just get out there and enjoy the powder. I know I will. 

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 46 and a light breeze.

As of yesterday, skiing and riding in Lower Gad Valley and on Chickadee is done for the season. This means there is no beginner terrain available at Snowbird for the remainder of the season. There is no skiing access below the base of Little Cloud due to construction, nor can you ski down Creek Road to access parking on Wilbere Hill or in the Upper Gad Lot. Advanced and expert skiers are advised. For more details on our spring operation plans, please look here. Spring Operating Schedule 

• Snowbird is scheduled to operate for skiing and riding through at least Memorial Day, conditions permitting. No closing date has been set for the 2023-24 season. We will continue to assess conditions throughout the spring. More information on lift operations and scheduling will be provided as spring progresses. 
• Mid-Gad, Wilbere, Gadzoom, Gad 2, Chickadee (chairlift and conveyor), Baby Thunder and the Thunder Tube are closed. The Aerial Tram, Peruvian Express, Peruvian Tunnel, Mineral Basin, Baldy Express and Little Cloud remain open. Little Cloud now closes at 3 pm. Parking is available primarily in Entries 2 and 4. There is no beginner terrain available at Snowbird for the remainder of the season. 
• April 21: Baldy Express will close. The Aerial Tram, Peruvian Express, Peruvian Tunnel, Mineral Basin and Little Cloud will remain open.  
• May 6: Spring hours go into effect, with lifts operating daily from 8 am - 2 pm, conditions permitting.
• May 12: Daily skiing ends. Snowbird will remain open Saturdays and Sundays (as well as Memorial Day), conditions permitting, for the remainder of the season.
