Youth Ski & Snowboard Lessons
For first-timers and young rippers looking to take it to the next level, there's no better way to learn and grow than a lesson with Snowbird Mountain School. Youth ski and snowboard lessons are designed for safety, fun and learning. Choose the option that works best for your family and that will help your child learn the sport on their own terms.

Chickadees | Ages 3-4 | In-Resort
Expose your 3- to 4-year-old to the love of skiing and snowboarding. Snowbird's Chickadee program offers experiential, creative and fun learning for your little ripper.
- Age: 3-4 — must be willing to participate, fully potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently. No diapers or pull-ups, please.
- Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
- Check-In Time: 8:30 - 9:30 am
- Check-Out Time: By 3 pm
- Location: Lesson Center, Snowbird Center, Level 2
- Dates: December 16, 2023, to April 14, 2024 (conditions permitting)
- Price: $333. Includes 2 hours with an instructor (time on hill is based on the student's energy), lift ticket, lunch, snacks and rental equipment.
- Late Check-Out Option: $50. Opt to pick up your kid at 4:30 pm instead of 3 pm from their lesson. They will spend their time with instructors in the Lessons Center, which is filled with toys and other fun kids' activities.
Kinderbirds | Ages 5-6 | In-Resort
Lifelong skiers and snowboarders start here. Our programs use a 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio to ensure a hands-on lesson for our small skiers and snowboarders each time. Children must be ready to ski for the entire day and meet their instructors on the snow.
- Age: 5-6
- Skill Level: All Levels
- Lesson Time: Meet at 9:15 am, depart promptly at 9:30 am; lesson ends at 3 pm
- Location: Chickadee Bowl, Snowbird Center
- Dates: December 16, 2023 to April 14, 2024 (conditions permitting)
- Price: $333; includes lift ticket, lesson, lunch and rentals. Please leave enough time to pick up your equipment.
- Late Check-Out Option: $50. Opt to pick up your kid at 4:30 pm instead of 3 pm from their lesson. They will spend their time with instructors in the Lessons Center, which is filled with fun kids' activities.
Mountain Adventure | Ages 7-15 | In-Resort
Discover new passions, skills, safety awareness and more while having fun on the mountain. Our skiers and snowboarders ages 7-15 are grouped by age and ability to optimize their Snowbird lesson learning experience.

- Lesson Time: Meet at 9:15 am, depart promptly at 9:30 am; lesson ends at 3 pm
