New Mid-Mountain Restaurant

Something new is coming.

Status: Completed

Slated to open at the start of the 2025-26 Winter Season, Snowbird's new mid-mountain restaurant offers even more amazing views than its predecessor. Featuring Swiss floor-to-ceiling glass windows on 3 sides, the restaurant delivers breathtaking panoramic views that frame the valley below, along with the surrounding peaks of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Expanded seating, a single-level layout, and conveniently located restrooms make it more accessible than ever. Designed by GSBS Architects and built by Layton Construction, the space blends modern openness while still paying homage to the original Mid-Gad Restaurant.

Come by for lunch. The new menu will feature delicious burgers and fries, plus a myriad of new dishes created by Snowbird’s talented culinary team.

New Mid-Mountain Restaurant

Project Start: Spring 2024

After clearing snow from roads to provide crews access, demolition and construction began in the late spring of 2024 and continued into the summer with the goal of getting the outside structure built before winter.

Throughout the 2024-25 Winter Season, crews worked to install drywall, electric and mechanical. 

Exterior Installation

Summer 2025

Triple-pane glass is installed, finishing the exterior of the building. 

Mid-Mountain Naming Contest

Summer 2025

With final say from thousands of Snowbird fans, Snowbird elected to name the new mid-mountain restaurant, The Nest, receiving 67% of the votes.

Final Touches

Fall 2025

Throughout the Fall, teams put the final touches on the restaurant, including setting the menu, organizing the furniture and installing speakers that can be heard from the lift. 

Grand Opening

December 10, 2025

The Nest held its Grand Opening and welcomed the public in with a DJ on the Plaza Deck.
