Snowbird To Celebrate 50th Anniversary Summer
Snowbird, Utah – Snowbird today announced plans to celebrate its 50th Anniversary summer season that will be packed full of activities and events, all set to kick off Saturday June 18, 2022.
This summer, guests can experience the new blue Tram cabin opening mid-July with floor-to-ceiling windows and three glass floor panels for full scenic viewing. The rooftop balcony will open next summer. In addition, the all-new ZipWhipper® offers adventure seekers the fun of rock climbing along with a thrill-seeking pendulum free-fall swing experience.
Speaking about Snowbird’s newest summer attractions, Snowbird President and General Manager, Dave Fields said,
“We are thrilled to unveil one of our new Tram cabins and begin the next chapter in the amazing story of Snowbird’s Tram. Looking through the glass windows in the floor will be an unforgettable experience. We’re also excited to offer guests the country’s first ZipWhipper® that will provide an adrenaline-filled adventure at the top of Chickadee.”
Guests of all ages can enjoy summer at Snowbird with an All-Day Activities Pass, starting at $58 for adults. The pass gives mountain-goers access to the Tram, Mountain Coaster, Alpine Slide, Vertical Drop, Ropes Course, Summer Tubing, Climbing Wall, Bungee Trampoline, and Tree Climb for non-stop fun. The ZipWhipper® will available as a $9 add-on.
Events are also returning this summer season including live music, special dining experiences, several on-mountain competitions and the Wasatch Wildflower Festival. This summer will also bring with it the 50th Oktoberfest celebration, one of the largest festivals in Utah, spanning mid-August through mid-October, taking place every Saturday and Sunday, as well as Labor Day. Admission to Oktoberfest is free.
